Using all of his journalistic skills, Wyden manages to elude Sergeant Grant
on the last day of his visit.

Investigating the corridors of the main barracks,
he stumbles upon the infirmary.

One of the new recruits has been injured and sits upon the metal
examining table. His face is bruised and swollen, both eyes blackened…

"Ah, tough case, broke his jaw when he fell on the obstacle course."

Wyden wonders if the doctor expects him to believe this lie, or just
doesn’t care…

The camera shutter clicks as recruit Louden’s face flashes
from anguish to contempt.
